Sra. Emily Aguilar

Emily Aguilar began her teaching career in 2019 after earning a BA in Modern Languages, Spanish from Lamar University. She taught for one semester before joining the ECHS team in the fall of 2019. Sra. Aguilar holds a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. She was named the 2024 ECHS Teacher of the Year and the 2024–2025 BISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. In addition to teaching Spanish, she sponsors the Texas Association of Future Educators and coaches UIL Poetry, Prose, Persuasive and Informative Speaking, and the Latino History Essay Competition.
