🛑 STOP! The student and parent must do this application together. There are questions that the student is unlikely to know the answer to.
START BY CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT LOGIN INFORMATION
- Use a PERSONAL student email that you will have access to in four years. If you do not have a personal email, now is the time to create one. If your email was created when you were seven and sounds something like:
- guinea_pigs_are_cool@hotmail.com
- pandabear@icloud.com
- kpopfan@gmail.com
then it is time to make a new one! A few tips for creating a personal email that is timeless:
- it should be simple, easy to remember, and professional.
- incorporate your name (e.g. firstnamelastname@gmail.com)
- avoid using numbers - most people end up using personal information such as birthdates, addresses, etc. and you don’t want that “out there.”
- rearrange the name and use underscores if necessary (e.g. johnsmith@gmail.com is guaranteed to be taken, but smith_c_john@gmail.com may be available).
- After navigating to the website, click on Create an account.
- Start by verifying your email. You will need to be logged into your email to do this.
- After verifying your email, create your account and write down your access information on the last page of this packet. BE SURE TO CAPITALIZE YOUR NAME LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT. Taylor Swift, not taylor swift.
